Israel, Gaza, and the Race Against Time

(Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs) Dr. Dan Diker - Israel faces mounting international and domestic pressure to defeat Hamas and rescue the remaining hostages. Protests, sanctions threats, and declining U.S. public support complicate its military campaign. Despite operational successes, time constraints and rising humanitarian concerns hinder progress. Hamas leverages propaganda, human shields, and international diplomacy to erode Israel's legitimacy. Prime Minister Netanyahu weighs a decisive conquest of Gaza against potential hostage deals while also pursuing regional demilitarization with Lebanon and Syria.
