(Times of Israel) Stav Levaton - The IDF last operated deep in Khan Yunis with ground troops in April 2024. The commander of the Kfir Brigade's Shimshon Battalion, Lt.-Col. Y., said the city is laced with terror infrastructure, including a sprawling tunnel network and buildings rigged with explosives. Each advance requires methodical clearing.
