(Ha'aretz) Ben Samuels - Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant reported "significant progress" in advancing shipments of arms from the U.S. to Israel following his meeting with U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in Washington on Wednesday. Gallant said "obstacles were removed and bottlenecks were opened to advance the procurement and armament we need for the State of Israel." A senior U.S. administration official said, "There was real progress in a mutual understanding of where things stand, of prioritization of certain cases over others, so that we can make sure that we are moving things in ways that meet the needs of the Israelis, and with the only exception being one shipment" of heavy-payload bombs. 2024-06-27 00:00:00Full Article
