Yet anyone looking at the human rights situation in the PA will see an appalling reality, with torture in Palestinian prisons being just one example. The situation for women, children, homosexuals, and minority groups in the PA is even worse. Particularly disturbing is the conspiracy of silence on the part of other countries, the international media, and international human rights groups, who perpetually turn a blind eye to the PA's gross violations of human rights - which they know about.
