(Globes) Amiram Barkat - Israel's Mekorot national water company will soon sign an initial deal to provide Bahrain with desalination technology. Mekorot said that Bahrain and the UAE are also interested in quality control of water, reduction of waste and leakages, water management systems, and integration of technical management services. The most urgent need is for the desalination of brackish water for agriculture and drinking.
