Bush's Plan for Peace in Middle East Stalls


(Washington Post) - President Bush's three-year plan for Middle East peace, outlined more than four months ago in a major policy address, is moribund because of Israeli indifference, Palestinian violence, and the administration's preoccupation with Iraq, administration officials, analysts, and diplomats said. Officials involved in the negotiations insist that the "road map" may yet be viable, once the situation on the ground improves.
