(Aljazeera-Qatar) A member of the Muslim Brotherhood has been tortured to death by Egyptian authorities. The Islamist organization said Saad Sayed Muhammad Qutb, 43, died on Monday at the headquarters of the Egyptian state security forces in Cairo. In its 2003 report on Egypt, Human Rights Watch said thousands of political suspects remained in prolonged detention without trial under emergency legislation, adding that torture and ill-treatment of political detainees remains common.2003-11-10 00:00:00Full Article
