Egyptian Blogger Gets Four Years in Prison


[AP/Washington Post] Nadia Abou El-Magd - Egyptian blogger Abdel Kareem Nabil, 22, was convicted Thursday and sentenced to four years in prison for insulting Islam and Egypt's president. The former student at Egypt's Al-Azhar University had been a sharp critic of conservative Muslims and called Al-Azhar "the university of terrorism," accusing it of encouraging extremism.
