Gaza is a world of donkey carts and roads pockmarked with potholes, half-built apartment blocks and rubbish pretty much everywhere. Armed men are also everywhere. Driving past places like Jabalya, you are told it is a refugee camp. But there is not a single tent or standing waterpoint in sight.
