(AP-TIME) Matthew Daly - The U.S. Senate on Thursday unanimously approved a resolution that recognizes the mass killings of Armenians by Ottoman Turks a century ago as genocide. Co-sponsored by Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), the nonbinding resolution affirms that the genocide occurred and that Turkey is responsible.
