In the West Bank, a Political Struggle Turns to Violence


(Reuters) Luke Baker - Hundreds of bullet holes scar the concrete walls, shop fronts and alleys of Balata near the West Bank city of Nablus, the result of six hours of furious clashes last week between Palestinian security forces and local gunmen. "Balata is a fortress," said Khattam Abu Rezak, 31, one of the men sought by the security forces. "We don't let the Palestinian Authority in."
