Turkish Envoy: Relations with Israel Remain Strong

(Jerusalem Post) Herb Keinon - Turkey's relationship with Israel is based on mutual interests, and the relationship will remain strong as long as those interests exist, Turkey's ambassador to Israel Feridun Sinirlioglu said Thursday. Prof. Ephraim Inbar, the head of Bar-Ilan University's Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, says "Israel will make a mistake if it does not respond more firmly " to the current Turkish line. "We should make it clear to Ankara that there are certain statements that are not acceptable," Inbar said. "These relations are based on mutual interests, and they are not doing us any favor."
