(Israel Hayom) Danny Zaken - The Israeli Security Cabinet on Friday approved taking control of all areas of Gaza to defeat Hamas. The cabinet adopted five principles for ending the war: disarming Hamas, returning all hostages, demilitarizing Gaza, Israeli security control over Gaza, and establishing an alternative civilian government that is neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority. It was decided that an alternative plan presented to the Security Cabinet to impose a siege on areas where Hamas remains active would not achieve Hamas's defeat nor the return of the hostages.
