Iranian-Backed Houthis Conduct Multiple Attacks on Shipping

(CENTCOM) On Tuesday, Iranian-backed Houthi militants fired six anti-ship ballistic missiles from Yemen toward the southern Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. Three missiles were attempting to hit the M/V Star Nasia, a Greek owned-and-operated bulk carrier. An explosion near the ship caused minor damage. Another missile impacted the water near the ship. The USS Laboon intercepted and shot down a third missile fired at the ship. Three missiles targeted the M/V Morning Tide, a UK-owned cargo ship. They all impacted the water near the ship without effect.
