(AFP) A first flight carrying 221 youths left Malawi for Israel on Saturday and more would be sent soon, the country's labor ministry said Monday. Since the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks, Israeli farms have lost thousands of laborers. Some were foreign workers who returned home and some were Palestinians from Gaza. Malawi's Secretary for Labor Wezi Kayira emphasized that the men will work at locations classified as "fit and safe."
