[Guardian-UK] Jessica Shepherd - The education of Israeli Bedouin girls is going through an unprecedented and dramatic transformation. For the last decade, non-governmental organizations and Ben-Gurion University have coached bright girls in the skills they need to secure a university place and then offered them scholarships. In 2007, almost 250 Bedouin women were on degree or teacher-training courses.
