(Times of Israel-Jerusalem Post) Emanuel Fabian - Heavy clashes broke out between gunmen and Israeli troops in the northern West Bank city of Jenin on Monday during an operation to detain two wanted Palestinians. Five Border Police soldiers and two IDF paratroopers were wounded in the fighting. An Israeli helicopter gunship carried out strikes in order for wounded soldiers to be evacuated. The IDF said that "as the security forces exited the city, a military vehicle was hit by an explosive device, damaging the vehicle." The Palestinian Authority reported that three people were killed and at least 29 wounded amid the clashes.
