Border Police Pay Tribute after Army Dog Killed in Nablus Operation

(Jerusalem Post) Israel's armed forces paid tribute to "Django," a Border Police dog killed during an exchange of heavy fire Thursday in a special operation in Nablus against the terrorists who murdered Lucy, Maya, and Rina Dee. Django prevented the fighters from being harmed by throwing himself "into the line of fire as a shield to selflessly save his partners," a Border Police statement said. Seven-year-old Django was an active team member in hundreds of counter-terrorism operations.
