(HonestReporting) Chaim Lax - On Oct. 14, 2022, Israeli forces entered the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank to arrest a terrorist operative. The Israeli soldiers were confronted by armed Palestinians who engaged them with gunfire and explosives. After the fighting, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that Dr. Abdullah al-Ahmed had been killed while attending to the wounded, leaving the impression that he was an innocent bystander. However, Reuters reported that the doctor was a "Fatah member who participated in the fighting." The New York Times described photos of the doctor "carrying three assault rifles."
