For Moscow, the visit likely reflects a continuation of its efforts to leverage the Palestinians to pressure Israel over its stance on Russia's war in Ukraine. John Hardie is deputy director of the Russia Program at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, where Ivana Stradner is an advisor.
