In Syria, Iranian Forces Fill Gaps Left by Ukraine-Bound Russians

(Breaking Defense) Arie Egozi - Intelligence sources say Russians have pulled out of key Syrian facilities, and Syria has welcomed hundreds of advisers from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in their place. Israeli defense sources say this could lead to an easier flow of weapons to Iran's proxy forces in Lebanon. At the same time, Iranian militias, under the supervision of the IRGC, began building new headquarters and warehouses, in addition to a new training camp for Hizbullah on the outskirts of Aleppo. Last week the Saudi Al-Hadath channel reported that an underground Iranian facility in Syria dubbed "Project 99" is developing ballistic missiles, chemical weapons and UAVs, and is under the control of Hizbullah and the IRGC.
