(Middle East Monitor-UK) 125 countries in the UN General Assembly voted on Thursday to back an open-ended war crimes probe against Israel, which had been initiated in May by the UN Human Rights Council after the fighting in Gaza. When Israel sought to exclude funding for the probe from the UNHRC budget, only 8 countries voted in favor, including Israel and the U.S., while 34 countries abstained.
