(Jerusalem Post) Anna Ahronheim - Israel has begun inflation of an advanced surveillance balloon to provide additional early warning capabilities against aerial threats, the Defense Ministry said. The High Availability Aerostat System (HAAS), developed by the American company TCOM, is one of the largest in the world and is designed to carry an improved sensing system to provide early warnings of advanced threats.
