(BBC News) Doug Faulkner - British MP Sir David Amess was stabbed to death on Friday as he met with constituents in Leigh-on-Sea in Essex. The Metropolitan Police said, "The early investigation has revealed a potential motivation linked to Islamist extremism." Ali Harbi Ali, 25, a Briton of Somali heritage, is being held by police under the Terrorism Act.
