(Ha'aretz) Ofer Aderet - 9,391,000 people live in Israel, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported Sunday, ahead of the Jewish New Year which starts Monday evening. Israel's Jewish population is 6,943,000 (74%) and the Arab population is 1,982,000 (21%).
