Parole Recommended for Robert Kennedy Assassin Sirhan Sirhan

(Washington Post) Tom Jackman - A California parole board voted Friday to release Sirhan B. Sirhan, 77, convicted of the assassination of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy in 1968. At his trial, prosecutors said Sirhan, a Palestinian, had developed hatred for Kennedy because of the senator's support for Israel. On Friday night, six of the nine surviving Kennedy children issued a statement strongly condemning the decision, and promising to challenge it "every step of the way."
