U.S. Airstrikes in Middle East Plummet

(Air Force Times) Rachel Cohen - The pace of U.S.-led airstrikes on the Taliban, Islamic State and other militias in the Middle East has slowed considerably in 2021. Reconnaissance flights are tapering off as well. Lt.-Gen. Gregory Guillot said: "We'll go through several days... in both Afghanistan and in Iraq and Syria, with 50 strikes in a row, and [then] it'll quiet down."
