(Times of Israel) 45 people were killed, including 10 children, and 150 were injured in a crowd crush during Lag B'Omer celebrations at Mt. Meron in northern Israel. The disaster in the early hours of Friday is believed to be the worst peacetime tragedy in Israel's history. The victims included six Americans, two Canadians and an Argentinian.
