(AP-Stars and Stripes) Czech Republic Defense Minister Lubomir Metnar said Friday his government wants to buy the Spyder air defense system from Israel to replace its obsolete, Soviet-era anti-aircraft system. The Czech military said it had analyzed nine systems from seven producers before deciding on the Israeli one.
