Israeli Startup Launches At-Home Ultrasound Device

(Times of Israel) Shoshanna Solomon - Clalit Health Services, Israel's largest HMO, has signed an agreement with local startup PulseNmore to provide its pregnant members with a handheld device that docks with a smartphone to perform at-home ultrasound scans, limiting the need for doctor visits. Physicians review the scans remotely using telemedicine platforms and can reassure parents that all is well, or instruct them on appropriate next steps, if necessary. The device can measure fetal heartbeat, the amount of amniotic fluid, and fetal movements in a process that takes three minutes.
