IMF: Iran Economy to Shrink 9.5 Percent amid Tighter U.S. Sanctions

(Asharq Al-Awsat-UK) Iran's economy is expected to shrink by 9.5% this year due to the impact of tighter U.S. sanctions, up from a previous estimate of a 6% contraction, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said Tuesday. The IMF forecasts annual inflation to be 35.7% this year.
