(New York Times) Farnaz Fassihi and Rick Gladstone - Last Tuesday, President Emmanuel Macron of France made an unannounced visit to the hotel in New York where President Hassan Rouhani of Iran was staying. Macron had arranged a telephone call for Rouhani with President Trump. All Rouhani had to do was come out of his hotel suite and walk into a secure room. As Macron waited outside the Iranian leader's suite, Rouhani refused to come out of his room.
