(Jerusalem Post) Anna Ahronheim - A joint drill between Israel's elite Shayetet 13 navy commandos (equivalent to U.S. Navy SEALs) and U.S. Army Special Forces ended last week, the IDF announced Tuesday. The drill simulated scenarios where troops had to take over a hijacked ship, and extracting troops from enemy territory. Varied capabilities were displayed, including taking over a vessel by parachuting from a plane, climbing, rappelling, sniping, and medical evacuation.
