(The Hill-i24News) Israeli President Reuven Rivlin said Wednesday that the U.S.-Israel relationship must not be turned into a partisan issue. "I spoke today with Speaker Nancy Pelosi about the importance of strong U.S.-Israel relations and I thanked her for her commitment," Rivlin tweeted. "The link between us is between peoples, based on historical ties, deep, strong friendships and shared values, not dependent on the links with either party."
