(AFP) Israel's attorney general Avichai Mandelblit announced Thursday he intended to indict Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust in a decision just weeks ahead of the April 9 elections. Mandelblit said he intended to charge the premier pending a hearing, where Netanyahu would be given a chance to defend himself before charges are filed. Netanyahu is not required to step down if indicted, only if convicted with all appeals exhausted.
