(JTA) Penny Schwartz - 1,200 Jewish studies scholars gathered in Boston on Sunday for the 50th annual convention of the Association of Jewish Studies. The AJS website lists more than 200 Jewish studies programs or departments and 230 endowed positions at North American colleges and universities.
