(Ynet News) Itamar Eichner - A community center renovated by the Israeli Embassy in South Africa was inaugurated last week in the town of Soweto - considered the symbol of the struggle against apartheid - on the outskirts of Johannesburg. The facility lacked a roof and Israel's ambassador to South Africa offered to help. Local BDS activists attempted to halt the renovation plans, but local residents decided to cooperate with Israel.
