(Times of Israel) Shoshanna Solomon - Researchers at Tel Aviv University have invented personalized tissue implants, using a patient's own cells, making the risk of rejection of an organ implant "virtually disappear." Researchers took tissue from patients' stomachs and transformed them into stem cells - that can develop into any kind of cells, from neurons to cardiac cells to spinal cord cells. These patient-specific biomaterials do not induce an immune response in humans.
