26 Jharkhand Farmers to Learn High-Tech Farming in Israel

(WION-India) 26 farmers from the eastern India state of Jharkhand will learn advanced techniques in farming in Israel, the state's Chief Minister Raghubar Das said Sunday. The farmers will learn to overcome challenges posed by lack of irrigation facilities and generate better produce. This is the first time in Jharkhand that the state government has sent a farmers' delegation overseas. Das said that on their return, the farmers would be appointed as master trainers and entrusted with imparting knowledge of hi-tech farming techniques throughout the state.
