[Ha'aretz] Israeli geothermal developer Ormat Technologies Thursday won the rights to explore geothermal energy under Mount Spurr, an active volcano 75 miles west of Anchorage. The company bid $3.5 million to acquire the rights to 15 of the 16 tracts offered for lease.
