(Ynet News) Yoav Zitun - On Dec. 20, 2017, IDF soldiers spotted a powerful bomb being planted by Palestinian rioters near the Gaza border fence. Sappers neutralized the bomb without incident using lasers that caused it to heat up and explode from 100 meters away. A tour of the area afterward found that hundreds of pieces of shrapnel had penetrated the fence and landed on the Israeli side.
