Syrian Rebels Down Russian Plane, Kill Pilot

(Reuters) Suleiman Al-Khalidi and Polina Devitt - Syrian rebels shot down a Russian SU-25 plane on Saturday in Idlib province and killed its pilot on the ground after he ejected, Russia's defense ministry and Syrian rebels said. The Russian Defense Ministry said Moscow retaliated with a strike from a high-precision weapon that killed more than 30 militants in an area where the plane was downed.
