(Times of Israel) Raphael Ahren - In Bogota on Wednesday, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos thanked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for Israel's help to defuse landmines. After a 52-year civil war that ended in November 2016, Colombia has the second highest number of landmines, after Afghanistan. In September, Israel's National Mine Action Authority hosted eight Colombians for a week-long workshop on mine-clearing procedures.
