(Ha'aretz) Hen Maloul - Former Israeli chief of staff Moshe Dayan went to Vietnam in 1966 as a reporter for Ma'ariv and was embedded with American troops on the ground. Dayan, then 51, was initially assigned to a company in the First Marine Division and later to the Green Berets, America's elite anti-guerilla unit.
