Americans Seen Turning Hawkish on Iran

[New York Jewish Week] James D. Besser - A majority of Americans, including Jews, now support military action to stop Iran's nuclear weapons program. A national survey conducted by Zogby International shows that slightly more than half of Americans - and more than two-thirds of Jews - now favor a strike against Iran before it becomes a nuclear power. "We have seen a dramatic shift in public opinion in the past 12 months, and particularly since Ahmadinejad came to Columbia," said Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi, president of The Israel Project. "And the Jewish community, in particular, is really starting to wake up on the issue."
