(Reuters) Ori Lewis - An attempt by the Palestinians to push for membership in the global police organization Interpol was rejected at the body's congress in Bali, Indonesia, on Tuesday. The proposal to put the Palestinian request to join on the meeting's agenda was defeated with 56 in favor, 62 opposed, and 37 abstained.
