[Ha'aretz] Avi Issacharoff, Amos Harel, and Jack Khoury - A senior Hamas official in Gaza, Osama Al-Mazini, on Thursday turned down a request by the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit Israel Defense Forces soldier Gilad Shalit, who was captured in a cross-border raid in June 2006. The request was made Wednesday by the director-general of the Red Cross, Angelo Gnaedinger, during a visit to Gaza.
