U.S. Field Artillery Targets ISIS

(Army Times) Kyle Jahner - More than 600 of the Army's field artillery soldiers are back home after a nine-month deployment in which they fired precision missiles at Islamic State targets. The unit fired GPS-guided rockets launched from Medium Tactical Vehicles, potentially from hundreds of miles away from the target. While the deployment was based in Jordan, the unit was spread across five different countries to support attacks in northeastern Syria, currently an Islamic State support zone.
