(IHS Jane's Defence Weekly) Jeremy Binnie - The U.S. announced on July 6 that Israel plans to acquire eight surplus U.S. Navy SH-60F Sea Hawk helicopters for its new German-made frigates. The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency said the Sea Hawks would be used on board "four new frigates to secure the Leviathan Natural Gas Field" in the Mediterranean.
