(Times of Israel) Ilan Ben Zion - Some 200 Yemenite Jews have been brought to Israel in recent years; 50 Jews remain in Yemen, with 40 living in Sanaa in a compound adjacent to the American Embassy. Some 49,000 Yemeni Jews were brought to Israel in 1949-50.
